BM Galvanizer recommended for use as a single coat protection of steel structures in many weathering exposure. BM Galvanizer used as a base coat with appropriate topcoats in corrosive atmospheres and other severs services. Excellent for long-term protections of structural steel, chimney, cargo containers, tank exteriors, railings, cranes, steel, decking, bridges and exteriors of barges, workboats and ship.
Remove any oil grease from surface with clean rags soaked in BM Galvanizer degreaser in accordance with SSPC-SP 1.0.For immersion service, abrasive blast to a white metal finish in accordance with SSPC-SP 5-82 to a degree of cleanliness in accordance with NACE#1 to obtain a 25-75 microns blast profile. For non- immersion service, abrasive last to a Commercial finish in accordance with SSPC- SP6-82 to a degree of cleanliness in accordance with NACE#3 to obtain a 25-75 microns blast profile. For non-immersion marine service or exposure to salt, abrasive blast to near white finish in accordance with SSPC-SP 10-82 to a degree of cleanliness in accordance with NACE#2 to obtain 25-75 microns blast profile.
